1991 graduate of Santa Fe Zoo Program, specializing in herpetology. During her time in Gainesville, Florida, Ms. Sciacca carried permits to own and show her collection of venomous reptiles, snakes, lizards and birds. Her collection varied in species and included over 60 animals. She was also part of a reptile removal service that safely removed and transported indigenous species of Florida, from residences.
In the years since “zoo school”, Sioux has been in the veterinary field since 1993 and has made Garden City Park Animal Hospital her home for the last 18 years.
After attending St Edwards University in Texas, Jen became an employee of New Hyde Park Animal Hospital. She then advanced to become the hospital’s manager, remaining in this position for many years. Seeking to broaden her scope she eventually accepted a management position in an oral surgery practice, successfully managing it until it was sold. Remaining in touch with our hospitals, she was once again offered the position of manager, this time at Garden City
graduated from Cornell University in 1989. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medicine Association, Long Island Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Dr. Dattner has completed continuing education courses and regularly attends the North American Veterinary Conference. He has a special interest in Bio Stem Cell Therapy and Orthopedics.
started working at Garden City Park Animal Hospital in 2003 as first a kennel worker, and then as a veterinary assistant. In 2009, he left GCPAH to pursue his veterinary dream. Dr. Silverman went to Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and did his clinical year at Cornell Universtiy School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Silverman’s well-rounded education has created a fondness for many fields of medicine, cardiology, internal medicine and surgery, to name a few. We are all so pleased to have Dr. Silverman back at Garden City Park Animal Hospital and a part of the team again!
graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Reptile Amphibian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Association of Wildlife Veterinarians, New York State Veterinary Association and the Long Island Medical Association. He has a special interest in Exotic Animals, and Chemotherapy.
graduated from Cornell University in 1996. She completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at Oradell AnimalHospital in 1997. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Association, and Long Island Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. DiGrazia has special interests in veterinary ultrasound and small animal ophthalmology. She was recently credited for supplying all Nassau County Fire Departments with animal oxygen masks through HELP Animals, Inc.
joined our staff in July 2008. She is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical year at Auburn University, Alabama. Dr. Steiger is a Magna Cum Laude member of the National Honor Society, and active member of NYSVMA, LIVMA and AVMA. She has a special interest in Dermatology and Stem Cell Therapy.
joined Mineola Animal Hospital in October 2008. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1983. She is a member of the American Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Association, and attends yearly continuing education conferences. She has a special interest in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and shelter medicine.
graduated from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies in 2015. She completed her clinical year at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Dr. B. is interested in emergency medicine and internal medicine. She loves to travel and the outdoors. Dr. Bashkatova is accredited with the USDA for APHIS for Veterinary Professionals, and a member of AAHA, AVMA.
Jean has been with our hospitals since 2008. She tirelessly manages accounts for all of our locations.
